Tide Laundry Tiles
This new, innovative product by the laundry giant offers you an eco-friendly detergent option from a brand you already know and trust. In this article, we explore the details of the Tide laundry EVO tiles.

The Tide Laundry Difference
Tide’s EVO tiles are different from sheets in that they offer six layers of soap fibers in a two inch square. This revolutionary process allows them to offer you more robust cleaning power in a spring or original scent.
These tiles are great for laundromat customers. After all, it’s much easier to carry a 2″ square tile to the laundromat rather than a hefty jug.
How To Use Tide EVO
So many times we see people try to place weird things into the “Liquid” detergent dispensers at a laundromat. Scent beads, powdered detergent, laundry sheets etc. That’s why we thought it was important to include this section in the article.
When using Tide Laundry tiles, keep in mind that they go into the washer drum. That’s true for top-load, front-load, home-style, or laundromat washers. Tide directions say to place the tile into the bottom of the washer and then add the laundry.
Tide Laundry and PVAs
We know that laundry pods contain PVAs, but are unable to ascertain whether the new EVO laundry tiles contain polyvinyls or not. They do say on their website that the tiles are 100% concentrated detergent. This would lead us to believe that no PVAs are involved.
The Nitty Gritty of EVOS
While Tide’s website will answer all of your questions, here are some of the details in a nutshell. You can use these in hot or cold water. They offer 3 different types, and one of them is their Free & Gentle product for sensitive skin. The EVO tiles don’t contain any water, bleach, or phosphates, and you can use them with your regular add-ins like fabric softener, scent beads, oxy, etc.
We conducted a test of the three eco-friendly products (WashEZE Laundry Sheets, Blueland Laundry Tablets, and Tide Laundry Tiles). The results are available on our Laundry City sister site. Check them out here>>
