This year as texture takes center stage in fall fashion trends, here are 4 textures to try and inspiration on how to wear them well. Give them all a try or pick your favorite and let texture have its day.
Wool
Wool no longer means scratchy, hot and sweaty. While for many wool holds negative connotations that is no longer the case, with a variety of wool blends out there, they take wool to a new level. This year you can wear soft merino wool in everything from scarves to sweaters. Or if you prefer, a classic pea coat made from wool can easily bring you into today’s fashion.
Cable knit wool sweaters are also a big hit and shaggy woolen tops can be fun and add bulk if you are relatively small person.
Bouclé
So what in the world is Bouclé anyway? To be honest, I knew what it looked like, but not what it was. It’s a type of yarn that is woven into a textured, nubby fabric using two strands of yarn. And, since texture is a part of this year’s fall fashions, what better material to add to the mix than this?
From jackets and blazers to matching sets and even shoes, we think this material can be a fun part of your fall wardrobe. With its wide array of colors and patterns you’re sure to find one you love.

Corduroy
This year’s cozy trend takes corduroy to a different level. No more straight leg pants. Now you can wear dresses, skirts, jackets and pants in this beloved material. Warm browns, reds and neutrals seem to be the going style for fall’s fashion trend 2026.

Suede
